"Mail Attender is a great product. It has helped us reduce drive space on our email server and has allowed us to eliminate attachments that are non-business related. "
Sharon M. Albright,
Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC

"Mail Attender has helped extend the life of our Exchange 5.5 server."
Christopher Frigon,
The Oppenheimer Group

"From day one, everything has been easy. Continue to listen to our suggestions and keep the support group at the top of their game. They have been one of the best support groups I've dealt with, much better than Lotus support. Mail Attender has been a big plus to us on the Notes Administration side of side of things. Great product."
Bob Zale
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

"Mail Attender is a fantastic utility at the right price. We are very happy that some of the features we have asked for have shown up in subsequent releases."
William Hayward
Hayward Consulting

"Excellent product that is saving us a lot of money. At Invacare, we're able to keep the size of our mail files flat by purging as much information as we accumulate in a given month. In fact, we haven't added disk space to our mail server since the purchase of Mail Attender two years ago. And with the flexibility of setting up different mail restrictions for different types of folders, we never have any complaints.
"
Marc Creemers,
Invacare Corporation

MAIL ATTENDER - EMAIL QUOTA MANAGEMENT, MAILBOX DISCOVERY, DOCUMENT RETENTION/DELETION MANAGEMENT FOR LOTUS DOMINO & MICROSOFT EXCHANGE

Managing email content and regulating usage is no longer a "Big Brother" tactic but a necessary business practice. Each day the news is flooded with corporate lawsuits that uncover illegal activity and damaging information found in emails. The SEC, NRC and other regulatory organizations have begun auditing corporations mandating compliance to strict standards and regulations of company sensitive information. Many organizations have tried to create email polices to limit liability but lack the necessary tools to implement their plan.

Mail Attender is a granular, rules based Email Archiving, Quota Management, Mailbox Scanning and Document Retention/Deletion management product for users of

It  enables management of email policy by providing flexible, yet centralized control over Lotus Notes mail databases and the Exchange Information Store/PST files.

Mail Attender is often used to:

a). provide an automated document archive retention or deletion capability where the user is prompted to take an action to keep a document beyond the retention period.

b). provide ad-hoc searching capabilities to identify inappropriate, confidential or threatening emails or attachments already residing in the  mail system to help in:

  • legal discovery: identify emails relating to a specific legal action
  • email policy:  identify inappropriate or threatening emails or attachments - viruses, mp3 files, avi files, mail containing particular keywords etc.

c). offload a single-instance of attachments into a separate 'Archive' database with a link contained in the original email message, saving disk space allocated to the Mail database

d) offload messages from mailboxes to a separate archive to meet email retention regulatory requirements

e) implement Chinese walls to prevent messages going between departments, stop email going to competitors, prevent profanity, illegal attachments or intellectual property being sent, stop messages under Legal Discovery from being deleted.

Increased Productivity

Many companies are constantly upgrading mail servers to provide additional storage capacity.  With Mail Attender's ability to manage documents and attachments, mail database file sizes can be better controlled.
