MXtreme is delivered as an appliance. Simply plug it in, turn it on
and follow the simple instructions to deploy. MXtreme typically
takes 15-20 minutes to implement and requires no specialist
knowledge.
Software updates are loaded using the SecurityConnection, a
unique feature that connects your MXtreme appliance directly to
BorderWare's secure servers.
MXtreme is available in three appliance models:
MX-200

|
The MX-200 is a set-top or mini-1U format system, comes
with a single disk drive and two fast ethernet interfaces,
and will comfortably support the requirements of
small/medium sized organizations.
With built-in POP3 server and full support for user
mailboxes, the MX-200 can also provide a cost-effective and
comprehensive alternative to MS Exchange, Lotus Notes etc.

MX-400

|
The MX-400 is a full 1U rackmount system. It provides
increased performance and throughput over the MX-200, plus:
- RAID 1 support (two mirrored disks) for redundancy.
- 2 Fast Ethernet interfaces for extra flexibility in
deployment
- 1 Gigabit Ethernet interface for high performance
networks.

|
MX-800

|
The MX-800 is a full 2U system designed for high traffic
installations. With a 2.4 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, it can
support thousands of users and millions of messages a day.
A high degree of fault-tolerance is provided by:
- RAID 0 +1 (based on two pairs of mirrored disks)
- Hot-swappable power supply.
Four network interfaces are supplied: 2 x Fast Ethernet
and 2 x Gigabit.

MX-1000
|
The MXtreme MX-1000 is deployed in some of the largest
enterprises in the world. A single MX-1000 can sustain
throughputs of over 100,000 messages per hour with all
security and content filters active. The MX-1000 provides
complete hardware redundancy with optional
"Stateful Failover" and queue replication and the MX-1000 can
be clustered to increase throughput or to support additional
