classification features of MessageRights, users and enterprises categorize email
for easy storage, search and retrieval. In addition, users and enterprises can
use MessageRights to examine assigned email classifications before messages are
sent, restricting the distribution of email to authorized recipients only.
Document management is a widely deployed method of managing the complete life
cycle of valuable corporate documents. In much the same way, MesssageRights
allows enterprises to manage valuable corporate email correspondence. Using
MessageRights, users can assign labels to classify the information contained in
their email. These classification labels may represent security, sensitivity,
distribution, retention, or even the project or case that is associated with the
message. When labels are associated with emails, it’s easy to sort, search and
categorize email based on the assigned set of labels. MessageRights can also be
used to enforce privacy or email retention policies to ensure compliance with
legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley, the Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act (HIPAA), or other corporate or legal guidelines.
