SPAM email is now readily identifiable and there are a number of solutions, including our own offerings Mailsweeper and MXtreme that address the issue of SPAM through corporate email.

Consider, however, the issue of unsolicited messages and new threats beginning to emerge through Instant Messaging. PC World reports a new worm, the Jitux.A worm, targeting users of Microsoft's MSN Messenger software has worked through the instant messaging application. Developing from this is SPIM, or instant messaging SPAM, where unsolicited messages are delivered to your AOL or MSN Instant messaging client - see Washington Post and Times of India articles.

So after SPAM and SPIM, are we still leaving a potential hole in the use of webmail?

New AttachView gives secured access to email attachments through OWA.
When OWA users need to view or print file attachments, the applications used to create the attachments must be installed and running on the local machines; otherwise, users are unable to open attachments and their ability to conduct business is negatively impacted.
