PST Attender provides Content Management for PST files in Outlook & Exchange
PST Attender,
part of the Mail Attender family, centrally manages Exchange/Outlook personal storage files, otherwise known as .pst files, which are collectively stored on files servers and individual users’ hard drive.

PST Attender addresses the fact that there is no central way to access and manage .pst files and this lack of control can initiate a variety of problems such as corrupt files due to exceeded storage limitations or the inability to enforce company email policies. Companies must be able to control all aspects of their users' email at any given time.

Some powerful ways .PST Attender will be used include:
   - Enforcing company email and retention policies
   - Retrieving legally damaging documents
   - Reclaiming storage space
   - Auditing content
   - Eliminating nonbusiness and obscene files
   - Purging virus infections

MIMEsweeper has lead position in growing Email Content Security market
Leading research firm, International Data Corporation (IDC) has released a white paper, commissioned by Clearswift (MIMEsweeper), which projects that the worldwide Secure Content Management (SCM) market will soar from $1.7 billion in 2000 to approximately $4.2 billion by 2005. Part of this annual growth of 20 per cent, can be attributed to the increased emphasis on legislation, as well as the need for companies to put content security policies in place to support and protect both employees and employers. The white paper - entitled 'Policy-Based Content Security' - also firmly positions Clearswift (MIMEsweeper) as world number 1, with a 30.6% market share.

The research firm has identified eight fundamental content security drivers: legal liability and copyright infringement; damage to reputation and lost productivity; breaches of confidentiality; offensive content; virus-based threats; sp*m attacks; degradation in service; and malicious web downloads. These reflect that security breaches are not only restricted to external threats, (such as viruses and malicious web downloads), but also include legislation and internal threats (such as confidentiality breaches and lost productivity), issues often overlooked by companies when they are looking to secure their organizations’ information assets.

Websense - Online Movie Trailers Cause Company Bandwidth Burn.
WordSpot, an Internet keyword detection service, reports that "St*r Wars" and "Spiderm*n" were listed in the top 30 percent of phrases used most often in search engines. With blockbusters like "MIBII," "Scooby-Doo" and "Austin Powers in Goldmember" on the way, employees will be logging on in droves to view the newest summer selections.

To download a 90 second movie trailer within a reasonable time takes a high-speed connection. Many employees utilize their office Internet connections, which are not only fast, but also free. However, if only three employees were to stream a 4 MB movie trailer simultaneously, an average T-1 line (150 KB per second) could quickly become overburdened, leading to dramatically slower network performance.

Websense Enterprise EIM software enables companies to more effectively use their existing bandwidth in the workplace. To solve the growing problem of employees visiting streaming media Web sites at the office, Websense created Premium Group II (PG II). Once enabled, PG II allows companies to conserve network bandwidth by employee use of streaming media by time-based quota, time of day, user and group, or blocking access altogether.
