One Policy V4.2 improves storage & capacity of Exchange email
archives
Archive One Policy version 4.2,
introduces a major application upgrade bringing advances in storage
capacity management and administrator security levels to email user
organizations.
SIS Plus (Single Instance Storage Plus) goes beyond first generation solutions for single instance storage of email by looking at the true cause of wasted storage volumes in the archive - email attachment files themselves - and identifying unique email attachments for a single instance store, rather than the email messages that contain them. Identifying storage efficiencies at the attached file level provides savings related to the number of messages carrying identical attachments, rather than the less frequent occurrence of totally identical messages that are needed for normal message-level SIS benefits.
The practical benefits result because many email messages and variants on them (incl. forward etc) could contain the same attachment (eg sales team sending a product brochure to many clients) which would otherwise be stored again for each new variant message. Archive One's SIS PLUS provides the benefits of SIS in sending an attachment to many recipients, PLUS when it is included in a different message or forwarded on.
Additional new and improved features of Archive One Policy include:
- new Integration Framework.
- Additional administrator levels for enhanced security.
- Enhanced deletion staging through to ‘hard delete’.
- Repository reporting, including archive growth analysis and trend information.
- XML reports enabling enhanced archive process data presentation.
- Archival of Instant Messages and RSS feeds.
New Mail
Attender for Lotus Notes V 6.2C extends & secures Lotus Notes
archiving
Mail Attender provides extended archiving & content management of
user mailboxes, integrated Email Quota Management, Mailbox Scanning and
Document Retention in a Lotus Notes/Domino environment. Features of the
new version include:
- Encrypt documents when archiving. This will allow the administrators to encrypt documents when they are archived. If a document has been previously encrypted, you can specify if the document should be archived (with the original encryption key) or excluded from archiving.
- Option to restore attachments from archive into original emails.
- Process calendar entries without using the StartDate value.
- Restore archived documents from within mail database.
- Prevent duplicate document archiving for restored documents. If a document has been restored by a user and is subsequently re-archived, a duplicate document will not be added to the archive, but instead, the original archived document is used/referenced.
- Protect documents within document archive databases.
- 'Prevent copying' allows the administrators to prevent the users from copying, printing and/or forwarding documents that exist within the document archive databases.
- Option to prompt when deleting attachments from Mail Attender Archive database. If an attempt is made to delete an attachment within the Mail Attender Archive database and the attachment still has at least one owner, the administrators will be alerted and prompted if they want to continue.
PowerControls
V4 enhances searching from backup Exchange edb files and expanded
support for backup solutions
PowerControls will easily
search, copy and restore message-level or individual mailbox items from
any previous full backup, un-mounted databases (.edb) and Information
Store files.
PowerControls(tm) 4.0 software helps Microsoft Exchange administrators save time and deliver better recovery performance and offers expanded backup format support for CommVault® Galaxy(tm) and UltraBac Software.
Other new features:
- Advanced Searching - Allows users to search within attachment text for user-defined keywords or phrases
- Public Folders as Target - Allows users to open public folders as a target for public folder or message restores
- Reporting Feature - Provides statistical analysis on any combination of stores completely offline from your production Exchange Server
- Multiple Search Session Capabilities - Users will have the ability to search using different criteria on any combination of stores simultaneously
- Save Search Criteria - Users can save search criteria to a file for later retrieval

Attender V6.1C for Lotus Notes now automatically filters databases
using the ACL!
Discovery Attender for Notes is
an electronic discovery suite specifically designed to perform dynamic
keyword searches of any Lotus Notes database. Discovery Attender can
execute powerful scans of message subject, body and attachments through
highly customizable search criteria.
ACL Filtering allows administrators to set up Discovery Attender but allows Legal, HR, etc. to conduct review searches into specific databases, thereby only limiting there access to certain databases. Whether it be for privacy issues or if the company only wants the person conducting the search to only access certain information, Discovery Attender can be easily configured to help them accomplish their search requirements.
