New Advisory White Paper addresses April 10th 2007, New Canaan, CT Much has been written about the ever present problem of email security, and most organizations now have at least some measure of security in place to deal with incoming threats, such as spam, phishing, pornography, viruses etc. However, one area that has not until recently needed such close attention is that of outgoing email. With the advent of legislation such as Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), Health Information Privacy and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Gramm Leach Billey (GLBA), there is a new set of requirements and accountabilities that must now be urgently addressed. ReSoft International, a software reseller which specializes in the supply and implementation of compliance software, has released an advisory white paper on how an organization can apply the MXtreme suite of products, developed by Borderware and deployed by ReSoft International to properly address the obligations in the new world of regulatory compliance. The advisory paper describes the four essential steps – Examine (looking at the message and its entire contents), Determine (appropriate action based on policies and content), Deliver (deliver the message in accordance with policy, and encrypt as necessary), and Report (monitor and provide reports to demonstrate compliance).
